Celebrating our country’s independence in Jersey City just makes sense; with Ellis Island right off shore, the 9/11 memorial in nearby Liberty State Park and Jersey City’ characteristic melting pot. I have been fortunate to call this place home twice and seriously considering a third outing; it just keeps drawing me in. It’s always been an exciting and timely place to visit. So it was only natural that the first thing to draw my attention as I closed in on Exchange Place, where the festivities took place, were the New York Red Bulls amping up for a live freestyle trick performance.
